It starts out very slow and easy, and then will speed up and become more challenging as your body warms up. You won't need any equipment other than a yoga mat. She gives very clear instructions along with the demonstration, so it is very easy to follow.

Video: Total Body Weight-Loss Workout

This week's workout is a 20-minute powerful body-conditioning workout which combines metabolism-boosting interval cardio moves with full-body toning exercises which build muscle throughout your entire body. Challenge yourself and be ready to sweat as you work all of your major muscle groups with a variety of exercises including jumping jacks, butt kicks, lateral hops, lunges, bicycles, floor wipers, mountain climbers, burpees, skaters, high knees, toe jumps, heismans, and squat-squat-hops!

Each exercise is done for 1 minute, with 30 seconds of rest in between. This interval-style workout is similar to our favorite PACE Express workout, burning fat, building endurance, and strengthening the entire body in just a few minutes per day!

Note: This is a high-intensity workout. If you are at a low fitness level, you should consult with your doctor before attempting this workout, or any other new exercise program.

Video: Weight Training Workout for Fat Loss

This 30-minute workout works your entire body, toning and strengthening your muscles, so you'll burn more fat - even after you're finished with the routine!* Free weights (dumbbells) are needed for this workout. Free weights can help with fat burning, as they will challenge and use more of your muscle groups for each movement, creating more calorie burn, and also a more balanced physique than working out with a weight machine. Not to mention, they take up a lot less room in your home!

Use whatever weight works for you - but be sure to pace yourself, as it's a fairly long weight routine. You may want to start out with heavier weights, then switch to lighter ones as your muscles start to get tired, so you can avoid injury. Also be sure to warm up and stretch before doing this workout as this is not included in the video. Be careful, pay attention to the instructions, and listen to your body.

Now let's get ready to get our burn on!

* Note: Be sure to consult your healthcare practitioner and/or trainer before beginning any new workout routine, especially if you are at a low fitness level.

Use your own body weight to get a great workout at home without any equipment. This one isn't really for beginners, but she does include some beginner modifications for you to follow if you're not that fit yet. If you are a beginner, follow the beginner examples of the exercises where available, and you don't have to do the whole thing - even if you can only do the first 15 minutes that's a start!

Video: 15-Minute Interval Cardio Workout

This quick 15-minute workout will give you a great full-body high-intensity cardio workout that will help you burn lots of fat quickly, and increase your metabolism. No equipment necessary! Each of the 10 exercises is done for one minute, with 30-seconds of active recovery in between. You can do either the exercise she demonstrates for the recovery periods, or march in place, or another moderate activity. The goal is to bring your heart rate down, conditioning your heart to be able to handle short bursts of intense activity and recover quickly.

The exercises in this workout are similar to my favorite PACE Express workout by Dr. Sears, and boy do they work! You'll feel like you've been sweating at the gym for an hour, but it only takes 10 minutes out of your day.  Be sure to warm up properly first, and stretch afterwards. Consult with your doctor before beginning this or any other intense exercise program, especially if your fitness level is low.

Video - Weight Training Workout for Fat Loss

This video gives a comprehensive full-body weight training workout that is great for building and toning muscle, boosting metabolism, and burning fat. The voiceover gives great technical instruction during the demo, so be sure to pay attention to his tips for proper form and technique. This will help you get the most out of the workout as well as avoid injury. Do this workout three times per week, with interval cardio on the in-between days, and one day of rest, and you will be amazed at how the weight just melts off!

Be sure to warm up with a few minutes of light cardio before beginning this workout, as the video doesn't include one. And incorporate some good cool-down stretches at the end. This will increase flexibility and help your muscles recover.
